(11-19) 11:36 PST THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) --
One of the most popular politicians in the Netherlands said Friday the country's democracy is under threat and called for a five-year halt to non-Western immigration in the wake of the killing of a Dutch filmmaker by a suspected Muslim radical.
"We are a Dutch democratic society. We have our own norms and values," right-wing lawmaker Geert Wilders told The Associated Press in an interview. "If you chose radical Islam you can leave, and if you don't leave voluntarily then we will send you away. This is the only message possible."

He'd better get a good bodyguard! I recommend three or four retired Recon Marines.

Guess the group hug approach hasn't worked out in the Netherlands ..... at least they're willing to openly talk about it. Here in the US it would not be politically correct to admit that letting these so-called people in is a big mistake.

Very True. The PC police would be all over an American Politican saying something even remotely similar to that!

My point is that it's their governments fault. They weren't so kind to notice that their immigration policy will be dangerous in the future. I'm worried that sooner or later all of these muslims will be pursued and it bothers me a little, because anyway many of them are normal peaceful people. Racism has a long history in Europe. In East Germany nazis are already third political power.

Yeah, great point. Alot of Muslims are decent hardworking people. It will be terrible for those that have nothing to do with terrorism.

The Netherlands has been too tolerant to intolerant people for too long," (Wilders) said. "We should not import a retarded political Islamic society to our country."Gosh. I wonder if can we import some of these Dutch politicans into this country and give them a prominent position in our government??

"If in a mosque there is recruitment for jihad, it's not a house of prayer, it's a house of war. If it's not a house of prayer, it should be closed down," he said. Who ever heard of a religion that allows its leaders to issue execution orders, or fatwas, in this day and age that is not denounced by all sane people? Radical Islam is bad news, to be sure, but Islam itself needs help.
