I'll agree to that. The difference is that dems. don't speak out when their colleagues abuse their power. They look the other way or even endorse it. I believe we're better than that.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with principle over party; I've drawn plenty of ire for blasting the GOP in general and Bush in particular over certain profound displays of idiocy. My thoughts on this situation, however, have zero to do with going easy on this judge because he's a Republican. Yes, it sounds harsh, but I just have a feeling we're not being told the real context of how this happened. I know lots of judges are VERY serious about not wanting cellphones ringing in their courtrooms. This guy is obviously one of them, and again, I suspect the girl may've defied him with an attitude.
