I grew up with a bookcase FULL of Grimms Faerie Tales, Norse, Greek, Roman Tales of the gods & godesses, I read Hiawatha "By the lakes of Gitchegoomie" (as far as I remember), I had all my "Golden Leaves" books of science and adventures. Peter Pan, The Illiad, etc.

I read all these before I could even read - with the help of my mother of course.

The books I wore out, but now, over 50 years later, I STILL have that same bookcase my father made me and it's filled with more books and even the HOBBIT books with more tales of dragons, glory, good vs evil.

I make sure my grandkids now have copies of the UNEDITED versions of these sagas of mankind.
