There is an ongoing thread about the French Atrocities in the Ivory Coast. I downloaded it as I have a good connection and I'd like to re-host a shrunk version. I have about 100GB of monthly bandwidth across several hosts that I can use.
I have used Adobe Premiere to author some videos for some games that I play, but I'm essentially a Premiere newb.
I tried just exporting the 100mb video with just lower resolution and got it down to 10MB, but what I'd prefer to do is reduce the video to 160x120 so that the slow can get it as well. When I change the resolution size, it seems that video shrinks, but the file size stays the same.
Is there a way to do this with Premiere?
Thanks, and sorry for the Vanity.
I'm not a Premier expert, but all video editors have output settings. Look for resize filters in the help files. If you're in a hurry and running Windows, import the file into Movie Maker and export it in a smaller size.
I'm not certain.
Right now I've got Quicktime converting the file into a form that I can then encode as a RealPlayer File. That should reduce the MB size of this video.
Also, save your video as an .avi and run it thru Windows Media Encoder to create a small file size .wmv file. It will then be able to be streamed on MS windows media player.
use windows movie maker it will let you choose the file size you want... plug in the 100mb file then tell movir maker you want the file to XXmb's and walla...
