Post-Election Selection Trauma
Vanity | November 19, 2004 | Lunkhead

Posted on 11/19/2004 12:54:29 PM PST by Lunkhead_01

We have a new disorder, Post-Election Selection Trauma, or PEST which apparently strikes only those so certain of the superiority of their candidates, that they are unable to cope with the reality that they constitute a minority.

It seems most of the people being treated for PEST are themselves pests, people like Vincent D'Onofrio of CSI who has been yelling obscenities at Bush supports on the set for months and is now passing out with increasing regularity.

We now have psychologists trying to treat this new disorder. What sort of treatment should a psychologist recommend to a pest suffering from PEST? How about suggesting a long, perhaps four-year long, vacation to a country that has been liberated by the liberals. There are many of those countries in the world: Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, Canada. If those countries have climates that are too cold, try Spain which is in the process of being liberated or perhaps Greece or maybe Bosnia or Kosovo which Bill Clinton liberated.

Sorry, but I had to get that out of my system. I want to see an increase in air travel between New York, Boston, Filthadelphia, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other liberal havens and Montreal, Vancouver, Paris, Helsinki, Frankfurt, etc.

I say we just turn the entire country of France into a Judge Dredd-style filthy mega-slum and pack it full of all the world's liberals. >=P

The Boca Raton news website must be overloaded since Drudge posted a link to their site on his page. Butit has reported that several people sought medical treatment after Kerry lost. From The Grapevine (Brit Hume): One of the 50 or so Kerry supporters in Florida who took themselves to psychologists after the presidential election, suffering from what the American Health Association has dubbed "post-election selection trauma," now says she was happy with her therapy, which in a single session relieved her anxieties. Forty-four-year-old Karen, last name withheld, says, "I wasn't sleeping. I was very devastated and very astonished...

As if psychologists didn't have enough avenues from which to reap fortunes off our loopiness and occasional gullibility, along comes a new malady found exclusively among Kerry supporters, called "Post Election Selection Trauma," or PEST – which is sort of like shell shock for soldiers of Democrat misfortune. A cure is nowhere in sight because it would appear the Democrats are perfectly happy to treat the disease with more of the disease. According to the Boca Raton News, one psychologist has treated 15 friends and family with "intense hypnotherapy." After hypnosis, the patients will demand a recount whenever they see...

From Worldnet DailySome supporters of John Kerry shocked by President Bush's victory in last week's election continue to seek out psychological help, prompting at least one mental-health center to offer free counseling through the end of this year. The Florida-based American Health Association has released symptoms of what it calls "post-election selection trauma," or PEST, which include: feelings of withdrawal, feelings of isolation, emotional anger and bitterness, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, nightmares, pervasive moodiness including endless sulking, and being excessively worried about the direction of the country. etc.

"Today (11/15/04) was another day of heavy chemtrail spraying over Indianapolis. Based on my observations over the past three years there currently seems to be an increase in the sheer volume of aerosols being laid down. I watched as one layer was spread and it then appeared the planes dropped down in altitude and spread another. I took these photos around 10:10 a.m. with my camera phone (hence the low resolution) in back of my home looking west. They're really soaking us."

Oh, let em have their fun. Besides, seeing liberals diagnose themselves as PESTs is just hilariously ironic, I don't care how many times I read it.

I know I'm going out on a limb here, but I suspect "PEST" disorder is the least of these people's problems (and ailments).

Agree with your premise, but one quick correction: Vincent D'Onofrio is on "Law & Order," not "CSI." I don't want to tar "CSI" because it's produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, whom I'm heard it rumored is one of those closet Hollywood Republicans, and it employs people like the military-supporting Gary Sinise and the hot babe who likes guns, Emily Proctor. "CSI: Miami" also did one of the greatest Kennedy-bashing shows I've ever seen on network TV. Come to think of it, it was the only Kennedy-bashing show I've ever seen on network TV.

How long before Gary Sinise is drummed out of Hollywood? Besides supporting the military, he has *talent*, and they look down on that in Libby-land.

We here at The Institute have officially renamed the disorder as "Post Election Nervous Irritation Syndrome". Change your screen name at your own risk...

This is a perfect example of the therapeutic society that liberals have created. It is an extension of what we see in todays schools, as any adverse event in our children's lives is met with a barrage of counselors to help "pull them through."

Instead of dealing with the realities and harshness of life, liberals have created this faux facade, that unrealistically shelters our children. As a result of this nonsense, when our children reach adulthood, they no longer have the tools to deal with adversity in their own lives.

Because of this, we now have adult liberals who can't handle an election...or psychotic killers who shoot up their employers when they lose their job.

Thanks, but I think I will stick with my current screen name. I wear it as a badge of honor.

Actually, it's been my knickname since my college days and many of my friends still refer to me as "Pest".
