You know - if this were traced back to near the beginning - I think we would find the Clinton's administration among those to blame -

Trying to remember back - one thing I know - a lot of the tech. floating around - either came out with the so called downing of USSR or if not then - in the 1990s - the whole security around the tech. was destroyed - then an EO was signed by Clinton - and that built China up - (That part is in the Record of Congress)

just my thoughts -

Although I partially agree with your interpretation of the Revelation, and I do believe that we are living in the beginning of the End Times, I'm disturbed that an apparent Christian would take liberties with the Scriptures to prove a point.
Please give the exact Scripture and it's location in the Bible. This is very important. We expect no less from anyone posting a news story with a link to the original source.

The first Scripture to which you refer is Rev. 13:2: "And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."

There is nothing in this Scripture about the beast having the "shoulders" of a leapord or the "head of a lion".
This is not parsing words. When you begin to substitute words for the original, you change the meaning.

The second reference is to Rev. 17:3:"So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev. 17:4: And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev. 17:5: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev. 17:6: And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Rev. 17:7: And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
Rev. 17:8: The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into peridition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was; and is not, and yet is.
Rev. 17:9: And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth."

The harlot spoken of in the Revelation is part of the beast. I see nothing which suggests that the goal of the beast is to get rid of the harlot.

God's Word is very precious. It speaks to different people in different ways.
Please allow each to make a judgement according to guidance given by the Holy Spirit.

I hear that we are getting ready to blockade Iran, Syria, and North Korea. Our ships are already heading into the area for "scheduled practice maneuvers". No way will we allow those fuel rods to make it into Iran.

Any Ballistic Missile that lifts off from Iran will fall back on Iran when USN in the Persian Gulf is alerted by NORAD.

Just a SWAG on my part of course......:o)

Works for me. :-)

That "proximity thing" isn't good...

It pays to have open eyes. There's little America can't do, if it has the will. But, Iran is a lot bigger than Iraq and Afghanistan put together, and has well over their combined populations.

Oh, I'm well aware of the geography for the part of the world in which I reside and have done for all of 2004.

Keep in mind, though, the majority of the people of Iran want change. They want freedom from the rule of the mullahs. This would be an asset for our side if combat with Iran becomes necessary.

A 'missiles' tragectory can be back traced to it's source - potentially very BAD for the 'launchers'.

But a TRUCK, however, ............

In Vienna, diplomats are now reporting that the cleric-ruled government is racing to convert nearly raw uranium into hexaflouride gas, the end-stage of uranium before it can be enriched — all before the November 22 E3/EU-Iran agreement takes hold. The U.S. has responded to these reports by calling on Britain, France and Germany to send a “stern message” to Tehran to stop producing the gas, calling the speed-up “an act of bad faith.” What’s particularly worrisome was the immediate breaking of the verbal pact, made with Iranian negotiator Hossein Moussavian, that Iran would not convert uranium “yellow cake” into hexaflouride gas in the interval between reaching the non-enrichment agreement and the actual date of implementation.

By IAEA calculations, the amount of uranium now being converted into gas could be converted into about 220 pounds of highly enriched uranium, enough for four to six nuclear weapons.

Reports from Israel, for several weeks, have intimated that Iran's nuclear program would possibly have to be knocked out by the end of November.

I've seen nothing but movement in that direction.

The prophets Ezekial, Daniel and Isiah also had a ton of reference to the end-times. I do not know precisely the time in history when it all takes place. I do also believe about the third and final temple as a major indicator of when such things will take place. It seems to me we are in the "birth pangs of distress" period Jesus spoke about. He said that we should be awake and pay attention to these things and be happy because our deliverance was getting near. I remember Jesus prophecy about the Romans encircling Jerusalem and instructing the Jews to flee. When the Romans came and withdrew suddenly, some of the people left but many returned as it was 3 full years before the Romans came back and destroyed the city. So times and seasons and what to look for are explained. I am particularly interested in the "mark of the beast" on the forehead or hand and relating that to the Digital Angel patent just approved for human use by the FDA. To me, seems like all the players are taking their roles, like in a play and the rest is just beginning to unfold. The "beginning" of the end, so to speak.

I find it all fascinating - I was just reading about the horses and the 7 seals - No sooner had I read about the wheat being destroyed than an article was posted here about that not being good for the body.

Also the wine and oil are saved - The trouble is - what times are being talked about - just interested - where does it begin the "future" - exactly - in Revelations - what has yet to happen -

And there is the third temple - I had the signs tape but it is VHS - haven't gotten a DVD yet that covers the same subject - and the old VHS player is no more.

The whole subjects about the code, predictions - is interesting - in conjunction with reading about the birth of Christianity and the separation of religion and magic - and thoughts on each -

"All pastors must be black belt? Sorry - couldn't resist. We know you meant Judeo-"

HAhah. Thanks for the smile and correction. Not a pastor, just a simply Christian trying to pay attention to the end-times. It's worrysome seeing Europe foresake their Judeo-Christian culture going bye-bye and their support for Palestinian terrorists.

If there is one feature of the Holy Bible which makes it an absolutely astounding book, other than it being the Word of God, is that no Book in the Bible stands alone. All are tied to other Books which are referenced to other Books which are referenced back to the first.
It is a web, and, as Pink so eloquently put it, "It is a river that a child can wade across or an elephant can swim across." It is as simple as the message of salvation or as deep as all of mankind's existence on this earth.

To me, it is impossible to read the Revelation with understanding without being thoroughly familiar with the many other Books of prophecy because Genesis is tied to Revelation and Isaiah is tied to Matthew and Psalms is tied to Daniel, etc., and, amazingly, all of these were written by different authors under the direction of God.

I fully agree that we are at the beginning of the End Times as foretold in the Bible, but, personally, I think it's a mistake for Christians to daily study the newspaper on one hand and the Revelation on the other with the intention of predicting future events.
There are guideposts of which we must be aware, such as the Mark of the Beast, to embrace or avoid, but the full story will not be unveiled to us until Jesus' return.
We are cautioned against this assumption of knowledge in Proverbs 3:5: "....and lean not unto thine own understanding..."
To do so invites doubt as to the validity of these prophesies when they don't fit our preconceived ideas of how events will unfold.
Look for the guideposts, but keep an open mind.

"I'm well aware of the geography for the part of the world in which I reside and have done for all of 2004"

Sorry, I had no idea where you are. But another poster intimated "no redeployment" would be necessary, and what I meant was that an attack on a country that size could require a very sizeable injection of manpower.

"Keep in mind, though, the majority of the people of Iran want change. They want freedom from the rule of the mullahs. This would be an asset for our side if combat with Iran becomes necessary."

Indeed they would. But if it came to hostilities, I would most definitely want that information to be correct.
