darn it
Frist has got to go, what a pussy.
Or words to that effect, yes.
Hmmmm, Specter, failing to protect our borders, and letting that brave Marine twist in the wind. Not a good start to the second half.
DON'T PANIC PEOPLE!
Once Specter is in this spot...he'll be right under our foot.
Put in a place of power...he will also be put in a place of responsibility.
We may get rid of the old RINO just yet. Put him in a place of leadership and when he fails..kick his ass to the curb.
I called DeWine last week.
In the short timer, however, Arlen will play ball, so we need to get done all we can in that time.
Shut up you armchair quarterback.
Frist is a great majority leader. I'm certain he wouldn't have allowed it if he wasn't sure that Spector would get Bush's nominees to the floor.
Frankly, Spector is less dangerous if we have him running scared of conservatives, rather then antagonized by them.
Come on folks, Specter got his butt kicked bad and he knows it.
Here's the line, start towing. He understands.
How did the vote break down? Unanimous?
I don't doubt it is true, but how do they know. I would think it is still speculation. If Specter goes on as chairman, the GOP had better do something about the filibuster rules.
Well, if we're gonna start eating our own, now...would you like "ketchup" on yours?..
nuts
Let's just hope that the Pubbies made Scottish Law Arlen an offer that he cannae refuse, laddie.

They are not suppose to actually vote until January. First the committee members than the entire GOP caucus. Not sure what this is based on, unless insiders know that Specter has the support of most of the committee members.
Oh come on.
Look, while I would have preferred he not get the post, Frist is no Lott. The only reason he didn't go nuclear last term was he did not have the votes, not because he opposed the idea.
Fear not! Spectre will be under scrutiny, I am sure they had a nice long TALK.
In one way I am ok with this, I have to think that Hugh Hewiwtt has a point, his thoughts are that if Spectre does not get the seat the other liberal republicans can defect out of protest, we could have our own Jumpin' Jim Jeffords and lose the majority, we do need these folks even though they are liberal.
