I also would like to say that whenever people criticize President Bush's speaking ability, I have two words for them: Jimmy Carter.
Knock me over with a feather as Carter lauds President Bush 41.
He was quite complimentary and the crowd gave a brief approvel.
Prior to that, Carter publicly congratulated President Bush 43 on his re-election.
Now in closing he notes the gathering on stage of Republicans and Democrats.
I must say, he spoke well there at the end.

Carter is saying he, Carter, made some mistakes with regard to the Mariel boat lift of Cuban refugees, and that might have cost Clinton re-election to governorship. "And for that I apologize." 0...kay....
"Clinton brought wisdom and insight...inspired other people in accomplishing great goals...I want to express my congratulations to President Bush on his victory..."
Then he starts talking about someone else, seems like it might have been Kerry, giving him respect too, but he didn't mention his name.
