The liberal talk show host who INTRODUCED Sen Russ Feingold to his supporters on election night was quoted on his radio show this morning in Madison, Wi as saying that Condi Rice was an 'Aunt Jemima' bowing at the feet of 'Massa Rumsfeld' and Colin Powell was an 'Uncle Tom'. I listened to a conservative talk show host of WTMJ interview him live just now and he refused to take back the remarks and further called Condi Rice 'an incompetent boob' and said his black callers had given him 'permission' to use these racist remarks. This outrageous double standard in the media must ne confronted, in the last three weeks a conservative talk show host has faced an orgainized campaign to have him fired for using the term wetback, and even after he apologized, the Hispanic and liberal community has picketed Clear Channel and are planning a trip to their headquarters in San Antonio to press for Mark Bellings dismissal...........

I think the freeper world should take action against Sly Slyvester and the liberal MSM.....call WTDY at 608-321-1670 and voice your revulsion at his racist comments about Condi Rice and Colin Powell. Liberals can't be allowed to attack minorities with immpunity when they are conservatives, while when conservatives make inappropriate remarks about minorities they are crucified...
I think Belafonte called both Rice and Powell "house slaves", as I recall.
So liberal talk radio and liberal media are overtly and publicly using racism to attack the future US Secretary of State because she has dark skin and African features?
This is the best (or worst) elite liberal journalists and intellectuals can offer as an alternative discourse to conservatism?
Will the USA be amending our definitions of hate speech and our EOT training programs to allow for racist public statements and lampoons against people of certain political views- since the media reps claim it is "permissible" by the black majority, of course.
Uncle Tom wasn't a bad guy, either, so is calling someone "Uncle Tom" a compliment?
Couldn't tell you when Aunt Jemima became negative. To me, she is a very cozy figure.

I remember when Aunt Jemima came to our elementary school. She told stories and sang the song "Tammy". We were a school of all races. We all enjoyed it and no one expressed outrage.
For me, she evoked a warm and caring mother figure, but then, this was the '50's.

Look at her history. She was created as a household slave/cook... think "Mammy" in "Gone with the Wind". Nothing negative about her character, but it's the female equivalent of "Uncle Tom".

His name is not Sly Slyvester. It's just Sly. He's been a fixture of madison radio for 20 years. I used to listen to his morning show on the way to school in the early 90's, when I was younger and dumber. He's not a die hard liberal either. Call him Liberal with a little common sense.
