Limbaugh has made the point that the aggressors set the rules in war. It is their conduct which ultimately guides our response. In the past, enemies have used various tricks to kill American servicemen. False surrenders, playing dead, or booby trapped dead and injured have all been ploys to kill servicemen. In WWII Americans quickly tired of these tactics in the war with Japan. To make sure the Japanese were dead they would shoot each body in the head. I would like to see the same thing applied in Iraq. Shoot a terrorist, save an American.
I agree with you. I don't like playing this game, but if the terrorists want a fair break, they should cease their treachery, get off the playing field and go back to living normal lives. The terrorists are to blame, that there's any hostility at all going on in Iraq. Without them, Iraq would be peaceful and prosperous.
I think all these Marines want to do is come home alive. Chivalry be damned.
