Posts on conservative website advocate violence against journalist The discussion board at FreeRepublic.com, a prominent right-wing online forum, contains numerous posts from members advocating violence against NBC News correspondent Kevin Sites, who recorded and reported the close-range shooting by a U.S. Marine of an unarmed and wounded Iraqi insurgent.

Comments about Sites on Free Republic include:

"Turn Sites over to the terrorist." "Fragamundo." "No need for anything overt. Unfortunate things happen in combat zones, and if the reporter fails to hear someone yell 'Sniper!!', well, c'est la guerre" [French for "that is war"]. [In response to a post suggesting Sites's "life is in danger being around the Marines"]: "I would certainly hope so." "I hope the Marines advance and leave Sites behind...alone in Fallujah with his terrorist buddies." "I don't want the punk killed, I'd just like to see his hair mussed. Jaws wired shut for a few months, food through a straw, that kind of thing." "It's Kevin Sites who deserves to be held in contempt and who deserves the losing end of a bar fight." "I don't give a flying you-know-what about his safety." — J.F.

Well, I was thinking about suggesting a FReep of these losers.

But nobody reads them, so it doesn't matter.

If any of the Media Matters people are reading these posts (you obviously lurk), how about showing some initiative and quoting the violence advocated at democraticunderground against our military, our leaders, our President, our nation and her allies?

Show a little spine or continue to be the annoying little gnat that you are, losers. The choice is yours.

I'll be waiting -but not forever.

It's not that we dislike "journalist" (using the term lightly) We just happen to love the Red White and Blue Marines alot. We would go to bat for our Military, but not for a stinkin journalist.War is hell.......

Quite honestly.......I wouldn't feel safe if I was him. The Semper Fi crowd takes care of it's own...and he has just touched one of their own. This is how they survive in extreme circumstances..

True. However, it is conceivable to me that the Marines would lift a finger to protect a man who had so harmed them, or be willing to speak to him or have anything to do with him.

No one should harm him, but he should be sent to Coventry, as the old saying goes: no one in the US military should speak to him or in any way acknowledge his presence. No food, water, transportation, equipment. Nothing. Literally act as if he is not there. Do not let him into a vehicle, tent, shelter, house. He simply should cease to exist. Oh, and any attempts to transmit by phone or satellite should be prevented as potentially helping the enemy.

The man should be declared persona non grata and 'outlaw' by the Iraqi government

Posters should not be advocating violence. They sound like terrorists when they do that.

In some places, it might be considered solicitation of murder.

Posters don't like it when some Imam gets up and advocates murder. Why should Freepers be posting calls for murder?
They have become propagandists for terror, too.

I do think some posters are way over the line.

The discussion board at FreeRepublic.com, a prominent right-wing online forum, contains numerous posts from members advocating violence against NBC News correspondent Kevin Sites[:] ..."Turn Sites over to the terrorist."...

I'm not entirely sure how this statement advocates violence against Sites, if the Democommie media buzz is to be believed.

After all, the Americans are vicious, imperialistic baby-killing war criminals, and the terrorists are freedom-loving patriots...

That's why we have to be so careful -- the liberal vultures are scanning every posted word and see how they can take it out of context to hurt and even shut down conservative forums, and I am sure FR is right on top of their list.

Oh, PUH-leeze!

Yeah right. The press can make it up if they want. Who is going to blow the whistle on them?

Media Matters is the organization founded by fruitcake author David Brock in an attempt to ride what he hoped would be the wave of anger that would topple President Bush. His job is to monitor talk radio, the conservative media & scan rightwing blogs for anti-lib lies and in general to keep doing a good enough job so that donations from leftwing groups don't dry up and force him to get a real job

Since leaving the right Brock has latched onto several liberal fringe groups in a continuing attempt to redefine himself as a born-again liberal and, most important, keep getting a paycheck. He is the "former conservative" liberals most love to drag out of the attic to make themselves feel they are actually relevant. Once again Brock has bet on the wrong horse and further marginalized himself.
