ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Reasserting in a report the need to safeguard Folsom Dam from attack, federal officials announced their intention Friday to make their disputed closure of Folsom Dam Road permanent.

But, faced with pressure from the city of Folsom, the government left open the possibility of allowing limited commute-hour traffic until a replacement road, requiring a new bridge, is built nearby."
