The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

"We should have secured the Mexican border."

That could be the pitiful lament we hear from negligent U.S. officials if Al Qaeda pulls off an attack on the United States using weapons of mass destruction smuggled across our southern frontier.

Were that horrendous event to happen, leaders in the administration and Congress would be justly hit with the same question that was perhaps unjustly cast at them and their predecessors after the unprecedented Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Why didn't they connect the dots?

DC, I agree on the terror overload. NWO and all the contributing factors that lead to our freedoms being slowly chipped away. This is all fodder for all of our enemies. Just think about the amount of money being spent now in the U.S. on local, state and federal levels to thwart or clean-up after another terrorists attack. That is money that was not being spent pre-9/11.

I also agree with you regarding these enemies, while they are bringing up their children to want death to Americans, Christians and Jews (and all infadels) in the name of Allah.....we are teaching our children to be more tolerant and accepting of the "world".

What I find most amazing, is the midset and lack thereof, of most Americans. Most have no clue the extent to which the Islamics want to see us crash and burn; they are still buying into the "Religion of Peace" nonsense. And when you point out examples of the blood lust of these terrorists and their ilk, they tell you that these are not real Muslims, only the radicals. As far as I am concerned, the deafening silence of these peaceful Muslims, speaks volumns.

"A high rise in the Chicago Loop at 135 S. LaSalle has at least one floor on fire. Live shots show a raging fire through the windows.

This is the LaSalle Bank Building. Began just after 1830h."

3 alarm fire now burning in a 50 story hi-rise at 135 S LaSalle in downtown Chicago. This is the Lasalle Bank building. Numerous people trapped. Also an EMS plan 2 for 10 additional ambulances has been called. Helo's are rescuing people from the roof.

I have not heard any report as to the cause of this fire yet.

Fire dept. has told them to stay where they are and they're going in to get them.

Delays At Airport after Passenger Vanishes with Suspicious Bag (Santa Ana, CA - 12/6/04)

SANTA ANA, Calif. The Orange County airport was brought to a standstill today after a passenger vanished with a suspicious bag.

Authorities emptied ten planes and forced hundreds of people to make a second trip through security screening.

The precautionary step tangled air traffic at John Wayne Airport for at least several hours. Transportation Security Administration spokesman Darrin Kayser says baggage screeners noticed a suspicious object in a piece of luggage, but a passenger grabbed the bag and walked off before a more thorough search was completed.

Alarmed federal officials then directed passengers from the passenger waiting area, along with those already on ten planes, to make a second trip through security screening. Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona described the object as an "apparatus" but not a bomb.
