"Gitmo Detainee Allegedly Was After Jewish Targets"

A British detainee in Guantanamo Bay allegedly planned to carry out terrorist attacks against Jewish targets in the U.S. Documents filed in a district court in Washington allege that Martin Mubanga, 31, a Muslim convert, was recruited to al-Qaeda while visiting Pakistan in 2000. He trained in a terrorist camp in Afghanistan before traveling to his birthplace of Zambia. After his 2002 capture by Zambian intelligence services, he was found with a list of 33 mostly New York-based Jewish organizations, and that he "stated that he received instructions to carry out violence against one, if not all, of the groups listed."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Officials are investigating the theft of about 30 propane tanks from a local hardware store, NBC 4's Nancy Burton reported.

The propane tanks were stolen at about 10 p.m. Monday from the Sears Hardware store in the Northwest Center at Henderson and Reed roads.

The tanks were being stored outside in locked cages, Burton reported.

Police said thieves broke the locks on the last two cages and stole about 30 tanks."

Missing Plane Found in Mountains(Afghanistan)

RESCUERS in Afghanistan today found the wreckage of a missing US aircraft and the bodies of several Americans who were aboard when it crashed in snow-covered mountains at the weekend, Afghan police said.

The transport plane, which was carrying three American crew members and three US soldiers, was located southeast of Bamiyan in the heart of the Hindu Kush mountains, said Ghulam Mohammed, a senior police official in Bamiyan.

"They found pieces of the engine and the wheels scattered on top of Baba Mountain," which rises to 5060 metres and was covered in fresh snow, Mr Mohammed said.

He said several bodies had been recovered....
