"He had acute pancreatitis [inflammation of the pancreas], he had acute gastritis, he had acute proctocolitis, acute myositis [eds: muscle inflammation], acute paralysis of the facial nerve and he was [describing] different pain symptoms, for example in the area of the abdominal cavity and the thorax cavity, the breast cavity," Korpan says.

I think you're right, and I certainly hope they did hair and fingernail analysis.
From what I'm googling, that may be the only way to determine if he was poisoned with arsenic, since it leaves the body after a few days, but if done within 6 to 12 months those particular tests can help.
You would think the docs would have tested for that, wonder if they did.
Will he ever revert back to his normal looking self or will he appear this unhealthy from now on?

Yes. Of special note is the "terrorist triangle" area of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. The article linked below notes the large influx of Muslims to that area who carried European passports but were unable to even speak the language of the European country they supposedly came from.

Say, “The fire of hell is fiercer in heat,” if only they could understand! Let them laugh a little: Much will they weep: a recompense for the (evil) that they do. If, then, Allah bring you back to any of them, and they ask you permission to come out (with you), say: Never shall you come out with me, nor fight an enemy with me: for you preferred to sit inactive on the first occasion: then sit you (now) with those who stay behind . 9:81-83 The Holy Qura’an.

Didn’t you know the story of the three men who were left behind? What was their crime? It was refraining from Jihad (staying behind)..take a closer look at their story as it was told in the Holy Qura’an. They were companions of the Prophet and they were among the best people, they accompanied the Prophet to some of his expeditions. What was their punishment (for staying behind)? The messenger of Allah (PBUH) ignored them for 50 consecutive nights, despite the fact that they have repented to Allah. but Allah did not accept their repentance until after 50 nights! The matter is serious indeed, so think again and reevaluate your action before you are held accountable.
