A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by Boston police in connection with Sunday night's assault and rape involving two women in an apartment on Joy Street in Boston's Beacon Hill, police announced this afternoon.

On Sunday night, a man forced his way into a Joy Street apartment building, where he tied up and robbed two women, both in their mid-20s, and raped one of them at gunpoint, police said.

From an earlier article on the rapes.

Police also handed out plastic whistles and offered to help residents organize a crime-watch group.

You can not bear arms today on Lexington Green.

Boston is a disgrace to the nation.

We are losing our children. Yesterday after school a 16 year old shot a deputy who came to the door of a house here in our "safe" little town. No one knows why at this point. Then this morning after his son left for school a father realized his gun was missing. He called the Sheriff and had him intercept his son who was on a school bus. They caught up with the high school student when the bus stopped at an elementary school to unload the younger children. The boy had the gun. The rumors have been flying all day, but nobody really knows what is going on. The deputy appears to be in fair condition. He was shot with a shotgun. This is all very unsettling because we have had vertually no crime here.
