Good Morning Everybody. > > The following is an email from my son regarding the NBC report (with > embedded reporter Kevin Sites), concerning the Marine who is being > investigated for "murdering" the insurgent in Fallaja. Tonight on the news, a Congressman suggested that the
embedded reporters be removed; but the Marine officer who
was giving testimony said the news media was doing a good
job, that the public wouldn't be aware of the good job the
soldiers were doing if not for the embeds. Well . . from
what I've seen, the "good" news in Iraq doesn't get past
the MSM filter dedicated to filtering out any good news
and amplifying any so called "war crimes". I wondered what
embeds he had been watching and listening to.

LOL, no silly, he wears diapers, but you know, that's just what Kevy did, he gave that clip to our enemy.
Sign this petition now... Let them know we support this Marine. We value a Marine's life a lot more than we do a terrorist.
Showing it during a time of war incites our enemies. Showing it out of context is unfair to the Marine. It is well known that journalists in previous wars did not disclose information that would be detrimental to the troopers in the field. Sites footage will inspire more jihadists to the ranks. And these jihadists will fire more bullets and RPGs at our troops.
As for the "judas" remark, make an effort to understand it in the context we use it. We understand that the renegade disciple turned on his friends for selfish advantage. That's what it means. Of course, he was never tried in a court of law. Therefore, I guess that means you wouldn't attach the term "traitor" to him.
Good. I want them to see what happens when they face Marines. They'll die. (We need to make sure that the rumor gets around that we dip our bullets in bacon grease.)
Please pass on unending appreciation to all our Marines in Iraq.
"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive veterans of early wars were treated and appreciated by our nation." - George Washington
IT'S THE SOLDIER
It's the soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the
PRESS.
It's the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of
SPEECH.
It's the soldier, not the campus
ORGANIZER,
Who has given us the freedom to
DEMONSTRATE
It's the soldier, not the lawyer,
Who has given us the right to a
FAIR TRIAL.
It's the soldier who salutes the flag,
Serves under the flag
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.
-Father D. E. O'Brien
Gotta say one thing for them. They are in sync with each other. They are one big propaganda machine. Bastards.
Nah. It's a time-out. And it protects him too from more "stupid coverage". This soldier is being treated well, I've no doubts, by his band of brothers. No doubts, they all have every idea of what he is going through. They are probably now fighting more aggressively, more meaningfully than before the media circus event.
That's a rumor? :O
To all those who are out for Sites' head.
Read the DOD rules for embeds:
www.defenselink.mil/news/Feb2003/d20030228pag.pdf
I cannot find anything in these guidelines that he violated regarding this incident.
It, apparently is legal to show video of nametapes and faces in combat situations. There is no mention of to whom these images may be released, thus he could release them to Al Jazeera legally.
I find it disgusting, but apparently legal.
I've disliked Sites since the first time his smarmy Cheshire cat smile came on my screen, but the DOD wrote the rules.
That said, I feel that it was a difficult, but righteous kill. He was protecting his brother Marines.
You mean that the jihadis were all peaceful folks until this video got out?
Showing it out of context is unfair to the Marine.
Any Marine worth a s**t will tell you that life ain't fair, no do they expect it to ever be...
Sites footage will inspire more jihadists to the ranks.
You really think so? I think it'll have the opposite effect: "Hey, those kuffars ain't f***ing around!"
It will depress recruitment. The ones who join after seeing this video will be the ones who'd've joined anyways. But it will deter others who would've joined if they DIDN'T see what happens to jihadis at the end of the line.
You and the moulahs are both delighted the jihadists got this video. So glad you are pleased.
I meant formally charged and punished. One of the reasons they pulled him out is his face is being shown all over the middla east. I heard his name was aired as well.
Try listening to the news today about the reaction in the Moslem world to this tape. Don't play games!
I have already lived though this BS once before. The damages were permanent and still hurt today.
I'll take not one minute more from these lefties! I'll take not one second more of it. And I have not!
You guys carry on as you have and don't worry. The home front is secure and we have your six.We here at home who once defended our country will continue to defend her.
Finish your mission, and we will take out the garbage.
Already posted, with paragraphs. d;^)
done
You are a totally insensitive jer. I'm done with you. Btw, the Moslems have his name now. Guess that doesn't matter to you now does it????????
I don't know about that... Poohbah. From my own observations, I would be inclined to assert that more young men of good honor, who've withstood the cultural bs that passes for "equality" and so-called "fairness", who've been called every name in the PC-handbook .. sexist, racist, evil wealth, stupid hick, homophobe, blah de blah.. would be rather inspired by the video.
Just my immediate gut reaction, here.
When you've been told all your life to be honorable. To uphold fair play and the constitution of the United States of America.. and to have witnessed through schools, the media, government.. how Lady Liberty and her Offspring are mistreated and lied to and abused by angry, bitter people.. here and abroad... I would think that short clip by Sites would galvanize, fortify, heat the blood in solidly good young men and women. In a good way, of course. :)
