Have we sent a letter to this brave marine to let him know how many are supporting him in this situation? I hope he is not getting the impression that Americans are turning against him, because that is what he would think if he had access to the POOP (pathetic old obsolete media)! I am sure he must feel isolated--it makes my heart hurt to think that he will be punished for defending himself and his buddies!

BUMP

Sites has caused grievious trouble for our troops and for democracy in Iraq. All for political reasons.

The liberal press is so ignorant that they can't see the damage they do.

How many DEAD American soldiers will it take from their ignorance?

He has incited Sunni anger and it will result in our troops and Iraqi troops being murdered.

Nice job NBC!

Our soldier did nothing wrong. I don't care what armchair soldier you hear saying he did. He had been shot in the face the day before. He lost a friend the day before.

Unless someone is walking the streets of Fallujah knowing how wounded, dying and dead bodies are being used as bombs, killing our troops, they should shut up. This is war.

What Sites did is treasonous and the epitome of irresponsible reporting. It should have been vetted. This should be a LESSON learned on how important it is for reporters to ACT RESPONISBLY!

SITES SHOULD LEAVE IRAQ IMMEDIATELY!

HE IS A DANGER TO OUR TROOPS AND THE INTERESTS OF A FREE AND DEMOCRATIC IRAQ!

On this like white on rice, Tonk! If the Libs go after the Marine, I want them to review and try in a general courts martial the documented case of Kerry's murder of a wounded, fleeing youth in VN. Shot in the back, as I recall.

Ping thanks.

my letter to Marine Times:

Dear Editor:

I am writing in defense of the brave and heroic Marine who has been accused of wrongdoing by the liberal American media. Their claims that he somehow did something wrong by shooting an enemy combatant are misguided and wrong. That Marine did the RIGHT thing. War is hell and in war, one does not have the luxury of hoping an enemy who disregards all conventional rules of war, will play by those rules.
The American people are behind this young man and all of his fellow Marines and servicemen. We will not sit idly by and allow the media and the our domestic enemies amongst the left impose their "politically correct" views of the world on how we wage this war. To do so would be a repeat of the mistakes we made during Vietnam. That will NOT happen again.
Raise the black flag, no quarter to terrorists.

Perhaps it's time to rethink the use of embedded reporters in combat. It does not make sense to provide material that not only enflames anti-Americanism both abroad and at home. I wonder if this "reporter" will receive any royalties from Michael Moore, who surely will use said footage in his next anti-American "documentary".

God Bless Our Fighting Forces!
