Good news. The Public Relations department is checking protocol to see if they can facilitate getting THIS SUPPORT THREAD to the Marine and his family.Thats great doug.

Shouldn't others in the Public Relations department get a copy also. Would it hurt for them to see that this guy has the support of many? Just asking as I don't know much about the military.

I hate the MSM. They are a bunch of unpatriotic, ignorant, unbelievable simpletons who care only for ratings and advancing liberal causes. You left out 'effete, bitter & vindictive'.

I somewhat agree with you. But at the same time Sites did not have to quickly air this film, nor make comments like he did where he says he didn't think the guy posed a danger.
He should have given it to the Marines Chain-of-Command to investigate.
Do I have my head in the clouds by thinking this? Admittedly, sure I do. But on the other hand that is how reporters did it in WWII. And that is how I would have done it. Many of these reporters are so concerned about playing the personal savior of humanity by exposing the evil and corruption of the powers that be, that they lose perspective.
Instead, he provided more propaganda for the enemy. I agree with you that it really will not do much harm on the Arab street...they are smarter than we give them credit for, and know this pales in comparison to what the terrorists are doing, and that they also would have done what this Marine did (as would many people under combat stress in a dangerous situation).
I also think the great, great majority of Americans are giving the benefit of the doubt to the young Marine.
The ones it hurts though are the soldiers and Marines over there, who begin to wonder if America support their sacrifices when this stuff happens.

Good or bad it's in the hands of Navy lawyers now. We shall see if the pussification of the Navy has reached the lawyers.

That would be really cool, I'm sure he'd like to read it.

Mr Fidell said he anticipated a general-court martial in which the suspect could be sentenced to death or life without parole if found guilty, but added that was highly unlikely because of extenuating circumstances. When I saw the asinine title to this thread, I was highly ticked off. What is this person thinking?
If this is what they want to do to our troops, let them go back a few years and try john F'ing kerry on the same charges. Put that title in the MSM, and watch the left scream.

Al Jazeera knows the identity of this Marine? How did this happen?

re: Al Jazeera having his name
I think I heard that he had his name on a backpack that showed up on the film.

Call NBC and their parent company General Eletric and tell them they suck. Tell them you will never buy a GE appliance. Make a list of NBC night news & Today Show sponsors and start a boycott list.
