It's about on par with a somewhat introverted,psuedo-intellectual 12 year old,who knew very little history and almost no current events would write.

OIL? What about Israel? What about genocide, human bombs, the destruction of civilization, and OBL fancying himself as the last "prophet"/sort of the second coming in the Muslim world and his view of an Islamic one world order?

No wonder you imagine that Sheuer has something of value and import to say. Neither of you get it!

Well, maybe not tens of millions--but it was a lot.

But he never had people's heads cut off and then used them to play polo with, nor did he forbid girls and education.

The Taliban just didn't have control over as many people as Stalin did;but OBL wants to impose Taliban rule over every nation of the face of the earth.

I agree, this guy was an expert on catching Bin laden huh...pretty sorry "batting average" when you get down to it. This guy should've been put on waivers a long time ago...now he's gonna make alot of cash off of the sheeple that buy into this drivle after making his money at all of our expense for the last umpteen years.

OIL?

Well, yeah. We have let ourselves become dependent upon the regions oil, and so we cannot be disinterested in the region.

What about Israel?

Does Israel have oil?

What about genocide, human bombs, the destruction of civilization, and OBL fancying himself as the last "prophet"/sort of the second coming in the Muslim world and his view of an Islamic one world order?

That's just what I mean: maybe that is not the kind of nut to organize and run a country.

If America (and all outside powers) pulled out of the Mideast, the region would likely erupt in warfare--in which conflict someone like bin Laden may well perish, to be replaced by a more practical man, someone like Stalin who would enjoy running a country too much to risk losing it.

Relgious belief usually diminishes in the more prosperous classes, who have used it mostly as an aid to controlling their own populations.

But all this is theoretical because all our choices are limited by those that keep the oil flowing.

So . . . you expected that he should catch bin laden with his own bare hands, or with the cooperation of the government which he says he didn't get?

nor did he forbid girls and education.

If you mean he he forbids girls to have an education--I hardly think that true.

More likely he forbids girls to have a man's education. I doubt he forbids girls all education: certainly some version of home economics must be allowed

I don't know why I bother;really i don't.

Look, you don't understand the first thing about this, you obviously don't know very much history, nothing I've posted has given you pause for thought, and you seem to believe that you know and understand EVERYTHING;not to mention that your rambling, illogical, ill educated ramblings are actually of value.None of what you believe is the case and you add nothing at all to the discussion.

You've been here a long time.In that time, apparently, you have managed to learn almost nothing.I'd offer to give you a book list, but that won't help you.

I hope that you're better at whatever job you have, than you are at intellectual musings.

The girls in Afghanistan were FORBIDDEN to attend school...any kind of school at all!

GOD,HIMSELF,only knows WHY you persist in attempting to talk about things you don't know ANYTHING at all about.

Do you do this in real life,as well?

Well, then, they must have been home schooled.

They had to learn how to cook somewhere.

You are so far out of your depth, that it boggles the mind!

Are you really THIS lonely and attention craving, that it matters not WHAT kind of attention you get?

One of the basic tenets of this guy and those on the left is that fighting a war will inflame the enemy and attract more adherents to his cause...Is there anything in history that leads credence to this idea? The Japanese seemed to have an almost religious belief in their Emporor...ie: the Kamakazi ....yet that "faith" died when enough of them died.

Catch him with his "own Bare hands"...???? No, but obviously IF this guy is such an 'expert' and a "top one" at that he should have been able to get his information to the right people who would be called upon to act on such intelligence. The cooperation he didn't get was obviously from the former administration...which had up to 10 opportunities to 'get' UBL from reports I've heard about.
Personally, I think alot of these "smokeblowers" are just looking tp pimp their books!!

In a letter to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees earlier this year, Scheuer says his agents provided the U.S. government with about ten opportunities to capture bin Laden before Sept. 11, and that all of them were rejected.
These TEN OPPORTUNITIES were NOT during the Bush administration, as he did NOT work there then!

This makes Able Danger seem rather insignificant.

MATTHEWS: He doesn‘t want a blackmail us.

SCHEUER: No, sir, he doesn‘t.

And this guy is a terrorism expert??? No wonder we were losing until 9/11!!

The very DEFINITION of terrorism is the use of terrifying tactics against civilians in order to cause them to become disillusioned with thier leaders and thus force a change in policy (Give them what they want and they will leave us alone!) Therefore, terrorism itself IS a form of blackmail/extortion!
