Well, with a Tip O' the Hat to Dr. Tom Sowell, I prefer to call them the "Jackal Pack Media..."

Although I'll admit to also liking "The Media Hive," a term the American Spectator coined in its heyday some years ago.

Thomas Sowell must have made this reference a while ago. More recently, he has been syndicated in the Washington Times and the New York Post - not in the MSM (i.e., Washington Post, New York Times, L.A. Times... ). And that is a difference worth recognizing.
