I have never used TIVO, is this saying you can no longer just fast forward through commercials?
So in other words, Tivo has become worthless.
They were talking about this on the radio this morning. Evidently when you fast forward a ad pops up. I can't believe thi, if they implement this I will cancel my tivo subscription.
Yep--time to build my own PVR.
Dang.
Up until now my Tivo was my most beloved material possession. Oh, the humanity.

My ReplayTV 5040 skips commercials automatically. Best feature ever.
The headline is misleading. We'll still be able to fast forward through commercials. TiVo absolutely rocks. My wife and I love it, because we watch many shows on our schedule, not the networks. If you spend any time at all watching TV, it's well worth the money IMHO.

Here's the line in the article that gets me:

WHO are these people? the same peopel that buy from telemarketers and keep them in business I bet. Gah!

Hmmmm. My Dish Network DVR just looks better and better.
Hmmmm. My Dish Network DVR just looks better and better. I got a TiVo recently. I have to say that my mother-in-law's DishNetwork DVR is more intuitive, more straightforward, and less obnoxious. Plus it's hard drive is huge.
