"How come EVERYBODY knows, but President Bush?"

Well, I have several thoughts about that. One is that the president pretty much lives in a bubble, and knows what his advisors tell him. That's why sometimes we have to make noise enough to get past them. This wouldn't be the first instance that he's had poor advice. That's the one I prefer to ascribe to. I've been wrong before.

I think you give Bush too much credit here AuntB. While it's true he lives in a Bubble (because he can't handle contrary opinions), Bush is deep in the pocket of the Open Borders Lobby. Some of his Biz Cronies are also salivating at the prospect of getting a slice of Pemex, Mexico's nationalized oil company, which of course requires complete capitulation to Fox's demands for full amnesty of all illegal aliens and unlimited Mexican immigration.

Add in Bush's mad desire to enact the FTAA, which will most definitely obliterate whatever is left of our sovereignty and borders and I have a hard time believing ANYTHING this administration says on the subject.

IMO, Rummy's comments are politically calculated and nothing more than Window Dressing. After 4 years of conscience wanton disregard for America's security and sovereignty and open encouragement of even more Illegal Immigration…I'll believe it when I see it.
