1913 The Panama Canal opened (unofficially); the 51-mile waterway cuts through the isthmus of Panama, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Baby Sara -The nurse nickname her Porky Pig-so fat she had rings of fat on the anckles-so old she held the nurses finger and drank her whole bottle at 1 hour of age.I was in the room and watch her come out.

Oh my, I can't wait to see pictures of Sara!! She is a beauty, I know. How exciting you were there during her birth. I was for one on my granddaughters, also.
