Ouch
Clearly we must sue the washer maker for not providing a $2 emergency cut-off switch inside the washer! (Thereby driving up the cost of EVEN MORE hospital equipment.)
I have no idea what the hell this contraption looks like, or how it's laid out. Is there anyone out there who knows about these things?
This reminds me of the story/urban legend about a criminal who eluded police by hiding in what he thought was a hospital tanning bed. Patients were limited to 30 second exposure, and he stayed in 45 minutes.
Don't forget all those homeless dudes sleeping in trash compactors.
I found out the story I mentioned was true. It's at the Darwin Awards, but I have a personal policy of not linking to that site. Christian-hating, Bush-hating Leftist whackos.
I was a repair tech for 2 different sterilizer companies that manufacture these units (Amsco and MDT). Could happen with horseplay but all kinds of interlock safety devices should prevent this unless it was intentinal. One never knows these days.
Here is the worst of it. Life in a blue state must be really relaxing in terms of a business climate.
sue?? I didn't read the whole article, but if he locked himself in there, they ain't nobody to sue...
Oh yeah, his family will sue... and win.
Rarely do physicians or hospitals need to be sued, but after reading the article that was linked-this hospital should expect nothing less.
"Clearly we must sue the washer maker for not providing a $2 emergency cut-off switch inside the washer! (Thereby driving up the cost of EVEN MORE hospital equipment.)"
Do you mean, somebody should get into hot water for this?
That article is VERY disturbing. I am sick that this woman died and this hospital was warned of the danger.
You're right. This hospital such certainly expect to be sued.
read the 2nd article. they were warned.
