and the Hamms founder's (Theodore Hamm, German immigrant) vacation cottage was up in Chisago City,MN.
"Chisago" is an anglicized version of the Ojibway words kichi and saga which mean "large" and "lovely", respectively.
IE:
Use in a sentence: "My wife is Chisago."

The ones I remember are much like you describe - they had a woods scene on a lake and had something scrolling behind it to make it look like live action.
When I was in High School it was "What'll ya have? Pabst Blue Ribbon! What'll ya have? Pabst Blue Ribbon....Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer!"
And then on the cheap side was Milwaukee's Best and the Stroh's Pounders in the big bottles.

We used to call them "grenades" out at school due to the unique shrapnel pattern on the glass! They were the best, but I haven't seen them in years.

I drank Hamm's until one day I almost got choked on the hops that was in the bottom of the can.

Dead at a young 90. That's what a life of NON-beer-drinking will do to you. "you may live to be 90 by not drinking, smoking and chasing women...... but it will feel like it to."

I don't know if there were cans available then. I used to put the empty bottles, shorties and talls, into the heavy cases in the mornings. The beer truck would come and drop off more and pick up the empties.
And to tie in with the prior bear story, the empty cases would be put outside and it would attract the bears, but they loved the pop the most.

Your adwork brings back memories of the old Hamms commercials (which were excellent), of fishing backwoods Minnesota lakes (like Schoolcraft near Park Rapids) that were great for panfish and Northerns, and switching out the railcars at the Hamms Brewery while working for the railroad during the summer. Those were the days.

Arrow Beer tasted like soap. I thought maybe it was just me until someone else told me the same thing. I'm a former beer can collector and have tasted many different beers.
Had a Pabst not too long ago just for old time's sake. Had trouble finishing it.

I always though it was neat that Old Frothingslosh (Iron City product) had the foam at the bottom.

"Hamms, Lone Star, Pilgrims Pee, Pearl and a hundred others. There are a million more that should be recognized. Any help out there?"How about Peter Hand Brewery in Wisc. or Burgie in Illinois. If you want to try the east coast try to find Heffenreffer (sp?) or Hulls Export. If you do come across the latter, whatever you do, don't drink it.

So did I. I had one of the moving, backlighted scenes where you seemed to be floating down the river, watching cabins and campfires go by. It's put away someplace. I need to find it.
We had a "last call" special, a six-pack of Hamms 16-ouncers to go for $2. Sold a lot of those.

Old Frothingslosh! The Beer the GLOWS in the dark!
Hamms was run of the mill. Like Wiedemann, Schlitz, Schaeffer, Goebel, Red White and Blue, and Hudepohl. I used to drink whatever I could get my hands on. Old Milwaukee (Old Killdoggie) actually not bad for cheap swill.
