If you keep chew toys around for them and reward them for chewing the chew toy they are fine. LulaBelle can turn a 2X4 into a tooth pick in minutes. Then she can pick up a cricket in the yard and bring it up on the deck to play without hurting it.
We kept him with chew toys all the time, but he liked to chew on everything. If he could reach it, he could chew on it, lol!And I don't have a fenced back yard, so that was a problem, too. If I had been able to keep him, I would have been able to train him right.
