That marine did exactly what he should have done. To do otherwise would have been irresponsible and likely exposed himself and his fellow marines to death and mayhem.

The reporter OTH presented his film with what appears to be an attempt to get the marine in trouble and cast aspersions on our troops.

You seem eager to join him, but, at least as far as I've read so far, you can't quite find anything actually wrong with what the marine DID.

You have had to try to disparage him by making him blameworthy just because some freepers would like to see the propagandist reporter pay for the reporter's attempted assault on the Marine, on the Marines, and on the USA.

It's pretty obvious you're looking for some excuse to jump on this Marine who performed exactly as he should have.

Why is that? Why do you want find this young man guilty of something when you damn well know better?

If you're upset by the understandable rage of some posters, why do you feel required to stick that on the Marine?

Then why are so many on FR enraged to the point of calling for the reporter's murder?

You seem eager to join him, but, at least as far as I've read so far, you can't quite find anything actually wrong with what the marine DID.

Guess what?

Having finally had a a chance to see the video, I think the Marine was in the right.

Righteous deeds need not fear being shown.

But here are a bunch of yahoos on Free Republic calling for the reporter to be murdered.

Now, if this is a righteous shooting, why are so many FReepers calling for this reporter to be killed for showing it? Or do they really think that this WAS NOT a righteous shooting?

What the hell am I supposed to make of demands for maiming and murder?

You have had to try to disparage him by making him blameworthy just because some freepers would like to see the propagandist reporter pay for the reporter's attempted assault on the Marine, on the Marines, and on the USA.

Either the deed is righteous, or it is evil.

Righteousness does not hide; evil does.

I don't think this should be hidden. I think that every Mohammed, Abu, Achmed, and whatever other names they use should be required to watch this video, so that they understand what the end of the line is for a jihadi: getting his head blown off by a Marine. (BTW, we need to tell 'em that the bullets are dipped in rancid bacon grease.)

It's pretty obvious you're looking for some excuse to jump on this Marine who performed exactly as he should have.

No, I'm not. I was wondering (that was before I had a chance to view the tape) if perhaps some FReepers were bearing some sort of guilt.

Why is that? Why do you want find this young man guilty of something when you damn well know better?

Why are som many FReepers acting as if he IS guilty, and that his deeds MUST not be seen?

If you're upset by the understandable rage of some posters, why do you feel required to stick that on the Marine?

I'm not. Why are so many FReepers feel required to demand the murder of the reporter for showing that wars aren't a Nintendo game? What the hell is this place, al-Freepazeera?
