Let's Talk About Sex
Bridegroom Press ^ | Steve Kellmeyer

Many Christians have taken offense at Hollywood’s newest movie, Kinsey: Let’s Talk About Sex. It is, they say, yet another sign of West Coast degeneracy, immorality and basic, well… yuckiness. Oddly, few Christians have considered another way to interpret the facts: Christians are the single biggest reason movies like Kinsey get released.

That may seem an odd statement, but it isn’t – it is simply a statement of the facts.

Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never
been married. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.

One afternoon the pastor came to call on her and she showed him into
her quaint sitting room. She invited him to have a seat while she prepared
tea.

As he sat facing her old pump organ, the young minister noticed a
cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it. The bowl was filled with water.
In the water floated, of all things, a condom!

When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat. The pastor
tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange
floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist.

"Miss Beatrice", he said. "I wonder if you would tell me about this?"
pointing to the bowl.

"Oh, yes," she replied, "Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the
park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground.
The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would
prevent the spread of disease. Do you know I haven't had a cold all winter."

Excellent article, Steve. It would make a great foreward to that book you're going to write on Christian sexuality and the theology of the body, wouldn't it ... (hint, hint, hint) ... ?? :-)

Erm, that's not my problem with it. My problem with it is that it's a massive load of revisionist inaccurate BS.

Hey, I've ALREADY written a book on the Theology of the Body - Sex and the Sacred City is a 100-page summary of the teaching written for Joe Christian.

Believe me, I've never been angrier with the Church than when I realized how much they failed to pass on the Faith in this area. I wrote the book so as to help other people who were in my situation - unhappy with Christian, and not certain why.

Great post, skellmeyer.

Kinsey was a pervert, who based his propaganda-motivated 'studies' largely on a sample of prison populations, and so had statistically high percentages of people affirming abnormal sexual behavior as they were in an abnormal environment. So most of his 'science' is simply psuedo-science dressed up as fact, but statistically invalid.

It also would appear that much of his now mostly ignored studies on childrens sexual behavior (their orgasmic behavior, etc) necesarily involved the molestation of children, hence the man might have also been a pedophile or associated with them.

It is not surprising that the cretins in Hollywood would adulate that monster when you consider how they also shaower praise on Roman Polanski who raped and sodomised a 13 year old girl.

Excellent article?

It flows along in it's chosen path, ignoring the monstrous person and influence of Alfred Kinsey.

Kinsey must be placed alongside Mao, Hitler, Stalin and Lenin in 20th Century History, for his massively murderous and horrifically torturous influence upon tens of millions.

Well, sure it's revisionist BS. So was the Da Vinci Code. In fact, they follow exactly the same plot lines in that regard.

There is a lot more going on behind the revisionism than we Christians like to admit. We'll call them every name in the book, and they mostly deserve it, but they have reasons for doing what they are doing that strike at the heart of our own understandings. That's the problem. We aren't willing to look at what we have failed to do. They are ignorant and unwashed because we have not taught them.

Of COURSE Kinsey was a monster. That's stipulated.

But why are they adulating Roman Polanski and Kinsey and Dan Brown and all the other sexual perverts and freaks? What is driving this?

They are working out of a spiritual emptiness that WE as Christians are not answering. We have rendered ourselves incapable of answering them. That's why they are so angry at us. They know we should have the answers, and we don't seem to be providing them.

I'll recognize your restraints of staying on a particular topic.

I tend to see a-lot of Christian efforts at telling the truth about God and marriage (hence, sex). That the world chooses to lie about the truth rather than promote it should hardly come as a surprise.

Oddly, few Christians have considered another way to interpret the facts: Christians are the single biggest reason movies like Kinsey get released.

That may seem an odd statement, but it isn’t – it is simply a "statement of the facts".

With such an adolescent argumentative style as that, my instincts tell me this is yet another dime-a-dozen seminar screed from a homosexual or Enabler in an infantile rage over the Election.

God only knows we need more Degenerate screeds....

And on a personal note, some of the hottest and most open minded women I ever knew are Christians. Unlike the Regressives, Christians recognize the animal inside, and know that just because you feel something doesn't mean you "have" to act on it.
