sure does. What gets me, are people quick to judge us, but have never been to the United states. When I was Overseas, I learned the local cultures and tried to learn the language (for survival, you know, food and beer). They ridicule our President, yet never voted or can't vote. I dunno, this word would be lopsided if it weren't for lefties though...
