Sounds to me like he shot a dead terrorist making sure he could not blow himself up and kill the Marines friends and officers...

The reporter needs to be beaten severely

imo

The press needs another Abu Ghraib scandal to dull the shine of this stunning American victory.

What a filthy, rotten, steaming pile they are.

The press pool is a cess pool.

Get them out of there.

The reporter needs to be beaten severely

Someone on another thread suggested killing the reporter. Please explain to me what he did to deserve a severe beating.

Chris Matthews, Rick Kaplan, the reporter, and the entire staff of "Hardball" at MSNBC should be arrested and charged with treason. Matthews is a traitor!!! End of story!!! God bless our troops, they have a very tough, challenging and fearful job. They don't need the scum of the "traitor" Democrat Party bad mouthing them!!! I say send Matthews and his sons over to Iraq, and let's see what they do in the same predicament!!! What low life vermin the whole Matthews family is!!!

I don't know anything about the Geneva convention and maybe this has been discussed but could someone answer this question.

I thought the "rules of war" covered by the Geneva accords were rules agreed upon by nations who are signatory to the accords. It covers combatants who are in the armies of the signatory nations. Combatants are supposed to wear uniforms, among other things. The people the Marines are fighting in Fallujah are not "combatants" according to the Geneva convention. They are not members of a national army that has signed the accords. They are armed terrorists as far as I can tell. They have no status and therefore are not accorded the protections of the convention. Comments?
