In Canada and the UK, the word is learnt instead of learned.

No way anyone learned this many things in public school. This is obviously a home schooled plant.

The (overrated) book, To Kill a Mockingbird, has been officially deified by the public school system. It's a good book but certainly not the Geatest Novel Written in English as some make it out to be (that would be Joyce's Ulysses).

Okay, Freepers. The challenge is now open to expand this list so that it becomes, "The 100 Things I learned in the North American Public School System."
Who wants to present observation numbers 67-100?

When I went to school in Canada (until I started university in 1968), I could never have identified the politics or religion of any of my teachers. They didn't inflict their personal opinions on us.
