Old Media is the same people who thought the IDF bulldozer ran Rachel Corrie over on purpose. They like to assume the worst. They also don't understand war with terrorists. Remember the 9 year old boy who led some IDF soldiers into a trap in Jenin? You don't know what you are dealing with.

Prayers for this Marine for his strength and courage and protection. Prayers that the truth will be heard and revealed. Prayers for his fellow Marines for their protection.

Pray for W and Our Troops

Every photographs is hoping for the shot that gets him the Pulitzer. Remember the shot of the VC being shot in the head, .....still shown today.

I hope this slimeball Sikes is escorted to Baghdad and put on the first flight out.

We don't need reporters and photographers with personal success agendas, following our warrior heroes. Didn't we learn anything from Abu Gharib?

I agree - we need to support this Marine, doing what he was trained to do.

This MSM slimeball would be singing a different tune if the wounded terrorist had a grenade tucked under him and whipped it out. The Marine was right to kill the enemy where he lay.

These guys are screwed whichever way they go over there. If they fight the way the MSM wants them to, they would die in the streets, and their deaths would be used to batter the President. If they fight the way they need to in order to win, the MSM yells about our troops killing the enemy.

Any way you cut it, the MSM is the problem. Time to put the commie bastards out of business, and protect our men and women in uniform and in harms way.

I agree 100% with the sentiments of this post. The Marine did what any of us would have done in a similar circumstance. Someone is gonna pay this time if the man is treated unfairly. There is not a person on this planet that has experienced war that would have done anything differently.

I haven't read the entire thread yet, but want to pass on a suggestion my husband made. If they stoop so low or feel they have to cover a portion of their own bodies instead of supporting this young man who has spent the last months protection freedom; if they actually investigate or prosecute him it should be a investigation; trial of him AND Kerry who has several times admitted?,bragged? to shooting a young, wounded Viet Cong teenager clad in a loin cloth in the BACK.

We need another movement like the Bush document mobilization. This guy's a hero, and they're treating him like a criminal. We need to get some politicians involved in this. Let's make some noise.

How a bout some email addresses to powerful senators and congressmen so the "freeping can begin"??

I'm sure you are already here, somewhere, but I have to go to sleep and I don't have time to read through this thread to make sure. Sorry if you've already been pinged here. I knew you'd want to be, either way.

NBC's New York news studio is (212) 664-444. Ask for "complaint line." Also, I suggest calling or e-mailing local NBC affiliate.
I was in Charlie 1/5 in Vietnam (67-68). I am mad enough to get in trouble over NBC's treachery.

I was listening to Hannity and Chombs last night and was shocked to hear the figures of how many of our soldiers have died due to booby trapped bodies. I think it was something like 125, some just the day before this incident.

Hannity made me a little angry, he felt very sorry for the boy, but said if he is found guilty he should be punished. I just don't agree with that given the circumstances.

I can see were keeping discipline enters into the treatment of prisoners, but this situation was a circle moose tap dance.

No one informed the grunts "retaking" the mosque that there were injured terrorists inside waiting for transport to medivac. After being injured the previous day and being up for 24 hours the kid made a split second decision, the MSM can get off his back or find us on theirs.

We need to withdraw from the Geneva Convention, our enemies sure don't uphold it, and it puts our boys at disadvantage.

There should be no reason that his commanders stand up for him, including Bush. It so easy playing armchair marine. God bless these guys. The MSM has got to be taken out!

While watching the video did you notice clean and spotless the white cloth material between the terrorist in question and the already-dead one next to him?

It certainly had not been used as a bandage, and the worn clothing was dark colors.

In this Marines boots, I would have been compelled to surmise that this was another surrender-to-kill ruse (ESPECIALLY upon sudden movement), as has been the norm in Fallujah.

This Marine is guilty only of being alert and ready, IMO. The reporter might have been killed were it not for this Marine.

General Hagee wil understand the "Fog of War" this young hard-charger was experiencing. The news didn't state if the terrorist had a weapon (pretty much assuming he did), the Marine was well within his rights to shoot, this is a war zone, not some Police shooting range. I remember when we were getting a briefing for Somalia, out LT started into the "If a child approaches your tank with a basket and won't stop because they dont understand English, what do you do?" Everyone in the briefing room said they would either fire a warning shot or put the kid down right then and there. This wasn't the answer he was looking for, but self preservation wins out over political considerations.

The news media seems to cling to the idea that conventional warfare guidelines apply here. A 13 year old boy firing at you with an AK-47 is an enemy combatant. A 10 year old girl walking toward a HMWVV with a basket full of plastique is an enemy combatant. A wounded sniper that was moments before trying to kill you and your buddies on your fire-team and is now rolling over to set off the grenade under him so he can go to Allah, is an enemy combatant. This is beyond asinine to say this young Devil Dog had the time and judgement to make a decision about this situation. A terrorist that is still moving could be doing anything, pulling a knife to charge at you, a pistol, a grenade, the bunker may have been booby-trapped to blow up, or surrendering. I am guessing he was not surrendering...the mind set of the terrorists being that he gets to go to Allah and collect his virgins or whatever...

The media should realize what is good for them and let this one go.
