We should plan that some of the liberals past or present at the CIA will engage in espionage against this country for political reasons. They will aid alQaeda.

Moving in the right direction.

Considering their spectacular record of past calls, and their willingness to leave anyone who believed them hung out to dry, this is good news.

I agree. Need to get rid of the Klintonites. Parley

None of these folks are really resigning. They have been booted out by Porter Goss. They are traitors to the United States and should be treated accordingly. Thank God, Porter Goss will clean the Democrat "Traitor" vermin out of the CIA. Now Condi Rice will do the same with the State Department.

For several decades the CIA has been as worthless as tits on a boar.

They, those who have gone out the door, will have arrogantly thought of themseles as IRREPLACEABLE.
However, there will be an army of hungry, ambitious senior CIA managers one level below them, that will SALIVATE at the prospect of getting the jobs of those guys who walked out, a new pay grade, and move on up the career ladder. And they will toe the new line, to President Bush, to do it. They have no other option.
There will be enough new blood to replace them.
Just have to make sure they are 'the real thing' through their probationary periods. I think Porter's people will keep 'em in line.

It is well overdue! When your central intelligence agency's favorite open sources are Reuters and the BBC, you know they are not on your side. ;-)

Absolutely right on!! I remember many years ago in my first squadron command, I had inherited a terribly weak Lcdr. Maintenance Officer. As a senior department head he was 4th senior member of the command.
I replaced him summarily with a Lieutenant -- and made him "Safety Officer" until I could write him an unsat fitness report and deep six him.
Two noteworthy things happened in the aftermath of this unorthodox action: I was soundly chastised by the Air Group commander for being grossly insensitive to seniority.
And, the squadron developed an incredible maintenance record. Never missed a launch the entire deployment.
So, there!!
Go Porter!! This old sailor is covering your six, mate!!

OK, this reporter and the anonymous official in the CIA just leaked the names of two of the highest officials in the super-clandestine Directorate of Operations. How many overseas contacts are now in jeopardy of their lives because these agents real names are now known? If leaking the name of Valerie Plame, a low-level analyst, can spark a congressional investigation, then why is it not a problem that this leak happened?
Joe Wilson where is your indignation?
