TARGET!
Marine Lance CPL. David M Branning. Baltimore MD. Killed during a firefight in Fallujah. Fallen Hero.
Dusk Watch.....
And finally on a humorous note... You thought G.I. Joe Dolls were just for kids.. try telling that to this Marine....
great photos!!
The one with the Marine with his helmet off worries me. Sorry for the mother hen interjection. God bless them.
Mother Hen interjections are expected and accepted here. :)
First thing I thought when I saw the picture "put your helmet ON!!!!"
You sure that's not a new form of remote in that Marine's pack?
LOL... Point taken... I guess that is brings a new meaning to a smaller more agile marine corps.. :)
Lol, you too? I'm thinking, "dude put that helmet back on"!
I wouldn't worry too much about this Marine. He has his helmet of because in the prone position that he's in, it is very cumbersome to try to look through the scope with the bulky kevlar helmet on. He is a sniper, so he is probably outside of the killing range of his target. Being a well-trained Marine sniper, he is also invisible to his target and any other enemy nearby. If there is anybody whose safety is in jeopardy here, it is whoever is on the receiving end of that Marine's rifle. So take heart, this warrior is doing just fine.
Agreed, no need to worry about this one.
The enemy won't know he's around till their officer is shot dead in front of them.
They won't have a clue of where to find our guy.
Also note: The helmet is more in the sunlight streaming through the aperture in the wall, while the sniper is recessed into the shadow. Anybody taking looking in from the outside is only going to see the helmet -- and that is NOT the target.
If they get that lucky...but good point.
haha! i thought the same thing.
one of the better pictures i have seen. :)
