BAGHDAD, Iraq — Explosions and gunfire broke out Monday in the city of Baqouba and elsewhere in the "Sunni Triangle" as U.S. and Iraqi forces moved against the last remaining pockets of resistance in Fallujah.

U.S. and Iraqi troops and insurgents clashed in a belt running across central and northern Iraq. At least 27 people were killed Monday in Baqouba, neighboring Buhriz and Suwayrah, south of Baghdad.

Fighting was also reported in the ethnically mixed northern city of Mosul, Iraq's third-largest, and the Sunni insurgent stronghold of Ramadi, west of Fallujah.

Outside Fallujah, a convoy of ambulances and relief supplies trying to enter the embattled city was forced to turn back because the fighting made it too dangerous, the head of the Iraqi Red Crescent said.

Not letting the Red Crescent in to resupply the terrorists is one of the best moves they have made.

Yeah some scattered, but without the BASE of operations, and in communites which aren't "used to" their influence, they will stick out like a sour thumb.

Citizens will be much more likely to inform of the 'pockets' of terrorists, at least MUCH more than they would be in Fallujah. They lost their safe houses, they lost their Bomb Factories, they lost alot of weapons chaches, and over 1500 men.

The US Military fully expected the 'scattered' cockroaches to pop up in previously quasi-quiet areas as a matter of simple logic (stomp on a concentrated forces, some will scatter). Regardless a humiliating defeat is rough on their morale, as is always having to 'run the hell away', as is seeing hundreds and thousdands of all your fellow terrorists meet their 'virgins' in the past 3 days. Add to that the loss of their base of operations and all, and it is a DEVASTATING defeat for the punks.

HoooRaahh
