It will probably start disappearing from the theaters soon.

LOL! The Christmas movie season hasn't yet started. I'm sure this movie will do well.

I don't put Tom Hanks in the same category as Michael Moore and Sean Penn; he's always been supportive of the folks in uniform. I'm planning to see the movie, and in 3-D, no less!! I loved the book, though I have never been able to read it all the way through with my kids because I always get fahklempt at the last couple of pages.

This sounds like the first bad movie Hanks has done since, what, Joe and the Volcano, or whatever it was.

I think he's a very good actor and one of the few good guys in Hollywood. He may be a lib (few aren't), but he has great talent and charm.

SuziQ,

I saw "The Polar Express" a few weeks back during a special screening. My daughters (12 and 8) and I thought it was wonderful. Everything that was in the book is in the film, plus lots of other fun scenes (and a few gratuitous, stretch-it-to-feature-length scenes).

Hope you like it!

Brian

Geez, I hope it does not disappear soon, regardless of anyones polical persuasion. My soon to be 6 year old has planned her B-day at this movie. Not good...better inform my better half to make some backup plans.
