A US marine has sparked world-wide revulsion after being seen shooting an injured and helpless Iraqi.
The sickening scene was broadcast by Channel 4 News after a fire-fight in the rebel stronghold of Fallujah.
The trigger-happy soldier had been asked to get nearer to the injured man.
But instead of trying to capture him, the marine is seen leaning over a wall and cold-bloodedly shooting him.
He then turns to his colleagues and says: "He's gone". Coalition chiefs were last night under pressure to investigate the incident
Some marine needs to whisper in the reporter's ear that journalists get shot too, in war zones. They need to medivac this prick out just a little too slowly. Sorry.
That can't be the video. I don't see anything in it remotely like this hysterical journalist's story.
I don't!
I must be the village idiot. All this time I thought that killing the enemy was the goal.
"A US marine has sparked world-wide revulsion after being seen shooting an injured and helpless Iraqi."
Simple question - Is this a family get together, OR IS IT A WAR?
right! IF shooting an injured enemy combatant is a 'war crime', then why did John Kerry get a silver star for doing
Who knows? The Mirror is a poor excuse for a newsrag anyway. It is like the National Enquirer, without bat-boy.
THE ONLY GOOD TERRORIST IS A DEAD TERRORIST. This terrorist will not live another day to kill an innocent. We did not start this war but damn we are going to finish it. If I was a terrorist, I would think twice about hitting the US again. As far as I am concern, send them to their God in hell.
I like the way you frame an argument!
Well said!
I saw the video posted on the thread, and my first impression was how completely in control those guys seemed. The one guy that they interviewed was just as calm and, in my opinion, as good of spirits as you can expect.
I was truly impressed by what I saw. I am so proud of all of them.
Hope osama gets it the same way.

That is the fate of people fighting out of uniform, got to follow the Geneva Convention you know...
The problem also it would seem to be is that there is so
much "suicide bomber" mentality among the "insurgents".
Has anyone seen a similar comment by the press about the still unidentified blonde Western woman who had her throat slashed, her arms and legs cut off and had been disemboweled?
Anyone?
Be nice to the British soldiers. They're brave on the battlefield and have thumbed their nose at their European brethren and told them to take a flying leap.
Of course, their journalists are another matter.
Ping.
That is the video.
The marine says "He's Gone"
He is looking over the wall, and shoots.
The marines and narrator, even point out that they were taking fire from this individual. The narrator even says "The insurgents fire is neutralized" When the marine fires at the insurgent.
