All the foreign fighter should be lined up and shot down like pigs on live TV.
According to UN rule and the Geneva Conventions, armed insurgents from outside governments can be dealt with as spies/partisans.

Shoot, they were probably just tourists, lovely part of the world to visit this time of year to see the sights.
To: clee1
I agree - that would send a good message. iraqi tribunals, iraqi firing squads, shoot them all quickly.

Arrested? This is bad. How about shooting them all before you have the chance to arrest them. This way no one like Amnesty International can argue for their release so they can return to the battlefield like a number from Guantanamo did.
Let's give them their wish, send them to Allah.

I do hope that no one does anything to humiliate the poor dears.

It would seem that the remaining minarets might be appropriate for the public display.

There were only about 15 foreigners among the group from an earlier statement by the Iraqis. The sad fact is that the vast majority of the fighters were just hopped up local guys.

Let Iraqi Security/Intel Forces take control of the detainees. How long do ya think it will take for them to break the rats? Here's hoping they all give us valuable info on the other terrorist rats still on the loose.
To: Plutarch
Actually, I hope they are held long enough to extract all the information possible concerning who sent them, and who else was involved.
Shooting them early would deprive us of valuable intelligence regarding AlQaida and other terrorists.

Arrested? This is bad. How about shooting them all before you have the chance to arrest them. You need to let some of the more cowardly ones live so that you can get intelligence out of them.
