That stinks. I love DVD extras. It would be great if Andy and Don Knotts provided commentaries.

Andy played a couple villanous roles in his career, and you can tell he has a mean streak somewhere.

If nothing else, they could've included the reunion special that first aired last November on CBS--cried like a baby when Andy hugged Ron Howard at the end and said "I love you." Plus there are plenty of cable specials that have been done on the show--The E! True Hollywood Story, TV Land, The Learning Channel ...

After T.A.G.S. went off the air, he couldn't find any comedic roles so he had to switch to playing villains in TV movies. A lot of these movies were pretty good--especially "Murder In Coweta County". Excellent!

But I still can't figure Ernest T. Bass. Ernest t. Bass was a rock throwing anarchist with a fake diploma.

If anyone has seen "A Face in the Crowd" you will know what a good serious actor Griffith was.

"There were some odd shows in the mix, especially early on when I had the pain medication running in the IV."
That had to be a surreal experience blending andy griffith with commemorative coin and tampon commercials within a narcotized haze. Was it hard picking out Aunt Bea from the blond complaining about nicked tanning lines or Bob Vilas's blathering about his latest Craftsman gadget(jest 19.95 please!)?
(LOL LOL LOL)

One of the great prophetic movies of all time was his "Face in the Crowd." It was about this fellow from Arkansas who was seeking the presidency and he was real mega-sleezeball . . .
Andy played the sleezeball.
