I saw this headline in the New York Post this AM and assumed that it was something about Arafat.

DEAD 'DIRTY BASTARD' LOL, I thought you were talking about Arafat, too.

Rest in peace 'Ol Dirty Bastard. I hardly knew ye. Actually I did know a smelly old bastard once. He lived next door to me and had about 20 cats and stacks and stacks of old newspapers. He's lucky they never caught fire or that house would have gone up in flames in like 30 seconds. When that smelly old bastard finally kicked the bucket, I wanted to say "Rest in peace, smelly old bastard" but my father would have kicked the crap out of me. I was only a kid then. But now, I can say "Rest in peace, 'Ol Dirty Bastard" with no consequences. Next time I hear his one big hit "Yo! Your Sistah Is A Big Fat Ho," I'll try paying more attention to the lyrics so that I can better appreciate the art of 'Ol Dirty Bastard.

ODB's mom, Cherry Jones, last night called her son "the kindest, most generous soul on earth."...he was a loving father, brother, uncle and most of all, son."Really?
Then why this:
He was arrested in 1997 for failing to pay child support for three of his 13 children.
Real loving, ain't he?
He can make 'em, but he won't support 'em.
Real asset to society.
I'd say good riddance, except now I know that my tax money will most likely be going to support all 13 of them.
Maybe he had some insurance.

Aw come on, Ol Dirty Bastard was a member of the Wu Tang clan, along with Redman, RZA, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon the Chef. In fact you can get your own Wu Tag Clan name by clicking
here. My Wu name is Temporary Spastic what is yours?

When you are an "O.D.B." in your early 20's, it seems fitting that you would die of natural causes at 35.

I can see that most posters came here not to praise O.D.B., but to bury him. ;)

There have got to be at least 10 threads dedicated to ODB's death. I never realized he was so popular with Freepers.
RIP, you ODB.

He was arrested in 1997 for failing to pay child support for three of his 13 children. ...... Well, sheez, can't we give him a little credit for 10 out of 13?

So they say that deaths come in threes, or something like that. Recently, Arafag and O.D.B. died. So, who's number three?
To: Tom D.
ABC News announced this as if it was a major cultural / entertainment loss.
