Mnookin.... said he still doesn't understand the man who brought the Gray Lady to its knees.......and that he's shown is that he's hard to get a handle on....."When I did the Newsweek interview, he seemed incredibly remorseful, and then he did the Observer interview and seemed to have no remorse at all." That's because Jayson is a compulsive liar.....and not a very good one, at that.
He's a rank opportunist who will do or say anything to save himself......and always at the expense of others.
That's also a good definition of a conniving liberal.
Jayson's newfound religion was no doubt hastened by the 2004 election results.

Yeah ... funny how he had to announce that he "found God". Perhaps his conscience got to him. Or maybe he wants attention for a book he will come out with. Sounds more like an opportunist to me.

Had he truly found God, my inclination is to think he would be rather more subdued about it.

"Blair gives talks in the Virginia area four or five times a month, where he discusses his memoir, "Burning Down My Master's House." The book, which hit stores in May, sold poorly before the publisher, New Millennium, declared bankruptcy. He's trying to get the paperback rights back, he said, so he can reissue it and correct some of the mistakes. "

That's because Jayson is a compulsive liarI disagree. I think he is simply playing the role that was handed to him. The NYT didn't care about his stories; they cared about his skin color.

Guess who said this?
"I believe there is a better purpose for me..... I don't think it is journalism. I got into it originally because I wanted to help people."
