SEOUL, South Korea North Korea (search) said Saturday that it was "quite possible" to settle the international standoff over its nuclear weapons program if the United States allows for the existence of the communist regime.

Seems to have skipped their attention that the alternative provides the same results.
Sounds like they are doing a John Kerry... Wafflin' :D
There are also other alternatives that DO NOT ALLOW FOR THE EXISTENCE OF THEIR COMMUNIST REGIME, AND ALSO SETTLE THE NUCLEAR PROBLEM....at the same moment...
I guess the hoping that Kerry wins stategy didn't quite work, eh Kim Jong Il?
He's screwed, and he knows it. My concern is mainland China and their long-term intentions moreso than this North Korean kook.
Thanks Clinton!
nice of them now to not "insist" on bilateral tolks that they know they wont get from Bush anyway...They're just hoping to get out with thier skins now -
I wonder if we'll ever know just how much he sold to China?
I imagine there were more than one "B-gurglar" with pants and socks full of documents we'll never see
"talks" ;o(
China won't mind have several miles of new coastline, and fishing area.
A Chinese nuclear sub reportedly navigated a path into Japanese waters last week. Someone on FR posted the article, and the source passed my sniff test.
Just saying...
"What? Kerry lost? Negotiate! I want to negotiate!" Kim Il-dung.
THE TEXAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE REPLIES:
"Do I Look Like Neville Chamberlain Kerry to you, Kimbo?"
The USA has "allowed" a communist regime in N. Korea for 50 YEARS!!!!!!
Your sh!tty little 3rd-world communist utopia has NOTHING we want. You can KEEP IT until your people get tire of your elitist bullsqueeze and throw you out themselves.
Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me! N. Korea has already used up all of it's credibility chits.
The incident is well documented now. Japan is doing its diplomatic "we're not happy" stuff to China now.
I'll take door number 2.

I agree. Yes, thank you Bill Clinton for the worst management of foreign affairs and defense in this country's history!
(Big clue: if the French are happy, you're doing something wrong...)
