We knew we were going to get our ass kicked before this game started, we actually thought the score would be more like 62 - 10. Next year will be better, we have some very good recruits coming.

That was an odd game from Nebraska -- it was all about ball control not scoring. Bob Stoops isn't one to ever run up a score -- he had them take a knee earlier in the year against Texas Tech on the 1 yard line so we didn't score.

We were down in the 90's when Blake was the Sooner coach -- it was horrible. Must admit that I am glad he wasn't on our sideline or we would still be mediocre.

Andrian Peterson got hurt in the A&M Game and was hurting all week so he played very little. Probably good too because the weather wasn't the best although the rain did stop soon after the game started but it was cold.

Since the Game of the Century in 1971 ( Cornhuskers 35, Sooners 31), Nebrakans and Oklahomans have had a genuine respect for one another. Politically there is also a consensus with all counties in both states voting for Bush. For what it's worth, the Bugeaters (Cornhuskers' original name) came out a little stronger for Bush with 66.29% compared to 65.48% support by the Sooners. I should add that Brokaw hails from wobbly Daschleland (South Dakota) and has no known link to the Huskers.
