Count the "F's" in the following text:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE- SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF- IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...(see below)
Managed it ? Scroll down only after you have counted them, okay?
How many ?
Wait til my husband finds out I'm a genius!
How many es?
I counted three the first time, and four the second, and that was after scrolling down and seeing that you said there were SIX. Here's my explanation: We are given a sentence with two opening words which both start with "F".
so we are already primed to look for the F at the beginning
of a word----before we get to the word "SCIENTIF-IC" (which is hyphenated like that) two more Fs are slipped in, in the form of "of"s. We certainly notice the "F" in SCIENTIFIC because it is highlighted by appearing just before the oddly placed hyphen. We can't miss it. We continue on to the end, and MAY or MAY NOT pick up on the "F" in the final "of". Finding out there are 6 Fs, we review the sentence and probably pick up the last "of" rather than the first two. Ever see the

Then I'm a genius.
I do believe SOME brains CAN "process of"....mine did, and I ain't no genius.
I count 8 es and 4 Es in your butchered nursery rhyme. Am I correct?
If you put a time limit on it, people would be more likely to only catch 3. The pressure from such a limit would cause them to completely miss the "of"s even if they would otherwise notice them.
I got all six... and I know for a fact I'm NO genius.
What was so tough about this?
Got six the first time.
Does this mean I'm smart and can make lots of money?
Maybe if I can find a job counting "F"s.
What do I Know, I only saw F Three times.
LOL, I counted 6 right away.
Kinda ambiguous question at first glance, but s/he didn't ask about "es". The question, as I read it, referred to the plural of "e", and that's how I answered it..
OMG I counted 6 and I am a 64 year old ....Maybe hope for me...LOL
I missed two o the uckers
I AM A GENIOUS!!!!!!!!!!
That's really interesting. It must have to do with being more visually oriented. Amazing how everyone's way of processing information is so different.
I thought the joke would be the lack of an apostrophe.
FRegards....
