How much did Phillip Morris pay for the front cover advertisement?
Thank you for continuing to encourage the development of cancer.
Your cover is a disgrace. War is not a video game. Actual people are losing their lives.
At least 10 U.S. soldiers died early in this battle, not to mention many innocent Iraqi civilians who hadn't left the area.

I was waiting for this .. what did it take, two days ?
What? No letter from Rob Reiner?
This kind of idiocy cuts both ways. I've seen the remarks of people who think that it's the cigarette that defines the photo, rather than the man himself. In fact, the photo would state a powerful theme with or without the coffin nail.
That is General Order #1 in a nutshell! No Sex, no alcohol, no freedom of thought or expression
Sickening, isn't it?
Marine to Whiny Liberal Douche....you're next...!
Your post sums up Liberalism and all the dreck that goes along with it in a nutshell!
Ever meet a lib who didn't whine about something?
Absolutely correct! Liberals are every bit as moralistic and judgmental as any conservative -- they are just moralistic and judgmental about different things.
"You can't legislate morality" -- balogney! Laws against discrimination are legislating morality. Laws forcing taxpayers to support strangers are legislating morality. Laws prohibiting private businesses from permitting smoking on their premises are legislating morality.
It's just a question of whose morality will be dominant.
For the record, I don't smoke and consider it a dirty, expensive and unhealthy habit. But if it helps this young man, and his fellow soldiers, to make it through their harrowing days, go for it. There are many worse things that a person can be than a smoker -- a liberal, for one. Argh!
Brad Pitt and his wife Jennifer Aniston are notorious potheads. He quit smoking for Troy and beefed up for his role as Achilles -- I wonder if he used some sort of artificial muscle enhancement (cough).
Sean Bean and Viggo Mortensen (both of Lord of the Rings ) smoke. I suspect that Mortensen did and perhap still does smoke something stronger than tobacco -- the man finds it difficult to speak -- his indecipherable mumbles and ramblings are classic signs of a stoner.
Mayor Blunderberg loves abortion, though.
Just saw a segment on Fox & Friends on this guy, a Kentucky boy who smokes 3 packs a day (and his grandpappy before him probably did the same and lived to be 95). He's being deluged with letters from women...so apparently not everyone is put off by his cigarette:) He has been very surprised by the reaction and said he hopes Marlboro will send him more cigarettes because he's down to his last four packs. I'll bet they manage to supply him with more.
Hey Cpl. Miller! When the President talked about the terrorists and said we were going to "...SMOKE 'EM OUT, get 'em runnin', and bring 'em to justice", he didn't mean that all you Marines should do it by smokin' four packs a day as you advance on their positions!
Good question. Next question: Do whiners have a tendency to gravitate to liberalism or does liberalism promote whining?
Battles end, habits remain. And I'm a smoker, I should know. But dude's a grown man, he can do what he likes, particularly on the wild west frontier that is Iraq.
Best post of the thread......Has this Marine been identified?...I'd like to send him a carton of Marlboros...
So what do libs think will kill him first?
The cigarette in his mouth, or all the bullets flying over there?
Libs are PUTZ's!
Yes BSF.......and hopefully becoming irrevelent. People are fed up with all this bitchin' and moanin' about everything. If they were to start a "cigarettes for soldiers" campaign, I'd donate in a minute. Of course being a smoker myself and making no apologies for it, I can relate to high stress situations that can be somewhat calmed by a cigarette.
He's my screen saver at the moment.....
Interesting isn't it. The cigarette isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I see that young man. The first thing is the thousand yard stare. The second is the wounds that would have had John "War Hero" Kerry out of the zone long before. It's a very sad and touching picture really, I hope it didn't cause his family too much pain to see it, but I know deep down it did.
