Prayers needed for Marine wounded in Iraq
11-12-04 | NavyCanDo

Posted on 11/12/2004 10:58:18 PM PST by NavyCanDo

I was informed today that my cousin's son Jordan, a corporal with the U.S. Marines, was wounded in a combat in Iraq and is being flown to Germany for surgery. Please say a prayer for Jordan and his parents David and Delene.

My prayers are with Jordan, NavyCanDo:

The Triage route in Iraq is to Ramstein. Which has some of the best surgeons around. If Jordan's being flown out. he's stable. If he's stable. The docs can fix him back up.

Jack.

You bet. We're asking God to heal Jordon so that he can return to his family once again and enjoy the fruits this country has to offer thanks to Jordon and his band of brothers. Yes, God knows our intentions. He always knows. Prayers too for his mom and dad to be strong. I am sure Jordan is going to be fine and they will all spend time together real soon. God bless Jordan and all our troops.

Consider it done. I have a grandson in Falluja, so it is pretty scary. I pray for him all of the time and will include Jordan, and his parents.

Marine's Prayer

Almighty Father , whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family. Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Make me considerate of those committed to my leadership. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.
AMEN.

Godspeed my brother.

Hello to everyone, This is an update on Jordan...from a e-mail from my Aunt. I want to thank you all for your prayers.

As you all know Jordan has been in Fallujah with the Marines. We got the news yesterday (Friday) that he has been wounded and after a couple of surgeries
for injury to his hands, forearms, feet and legs is on his way to a hospital in Germany. Jordan, himself, made the phone call home and said he had gotten some sleep, was eating and is not in pain. That is all we know at this point.
Delene called the Red Cross and was told that if she had not heard in 36 hours (Sunday afternoon) to call back and they would get involved for information.

Please, please say a special prayer for him.
