Like most Republicans I was delighted with the outcome of the election. For weeks before, I displayed a Bush/Cheney sign in our yard as well as bumper stickers on both cars.
Also like many Republicans I have Democrat friends. Some of them were not delighted with election results. In fact a large portion of voters across America felt the same. So in deference to them I removed all our signs the day after Election Day.
I still see a lot of Bush signs in yards and on cars. Why rub it in? The great democratic process has taken place. It is time to move on. There is far too much social division in the country as it is. Race, politics, economics and religion, with help from the media, have created a country of "hyphenated Americans."
To my fellow Republicans I say take down the signs and take a Democrat to lunch!
When the Democrats stop calling me stupid, I will stop laughing at them.
Democrats don't need my help; they're already out to lunch.
W pride!
I'll be having dinner with a bunch of liberals at Thanksgiving and again at Christmas.
I live in Broward County Florida. All the Bush stickers and signs have been taken down, but I still see plenty of Kerry bumper stickers....
We took down our lawn sign, and removed the bumper sticker from our vehicles the day after the election. But if the left continues to charge the election was stolen, I'll be putting a fresh new sticker on my car.
Heck! ,Why not rub it in? We listen to them liberal piece of Sh*ts rub it in for the last year!I have a John Kerry Sucks tshirt I havent taken off yet.Im debating whether to wash it or keep wearing it till the inaguration!lol
Because even in the face of this undeniable victory, the Leftists still insist that we somehow "stole" the election. Why let them nurture that illusion?
They're too lazy to take them off.
Im keeping my HUGE 6' signs up in the BR window of my NYC Upper West Sdie apartment that hundreds of other apartments see.
Why rub it in?
Because the Liberals deserve to have their arrogant faces rubbed into their HUGE loss EVERY DAY until they learn that they are not the "smarter than thou" "Elites" that they think they are.
THEY ARE THE MINORITY and in this country, the will of the minority must bend to the will of the majority. Until they BACK OFF and SHUT UP, we must keep on rubbing it in their faces, every day, very hard!
Get ready for a long, hard guffaw.
We took ours down immediately when we saw our liberal neighbor had removed his (probably in the dead of night on Nov 2.) However, with all the ranting and raving about voter fraud and stolen elections, I just might put my bumper sticker back on.
Thank god for the archival nature of the internet...
All these 'elitist' screeds are going to come in handy in '06, '08, etc.
i live in broward too, 2 signs stolen from me
How is keeping a sign up "rubbing it in"?
If I wanted to "rub it in", I'd point at people who had put Kerry signs on their lawns and laugh at them. Rubbing it in requires that one take action, not just leave a sign up.
No!
He needs to organize a "Specter lunch".
