or call his mistress from the vigil, down a few beers with his dad while the rest of the world searches, pile junk in your baby boys room, sit in the parking lot of a mall when you told everyone you were gong to put flyers up of your wife, cancel your porn channel outside of your house as the police are inside gathering evidence, speak of your wife in the past tense, take 2 days to call Washington State police about a tip left about Laci, ect. ect. ect.
That floored me when I heard it. My husband died suddenly in his early 40s. It took some time before I was mentally ready to donate my husband's clothes to charity. It took more than a year to sleep on 'his' side of the bed. My son wore his father's shirts and eventually grew into and wore his coats (we're talking years after his father died).
How someone could turn their child's room into a junk room - especially before the mother had been found dead, but even afterward - is beyond me. If we couldn't do simple things like give away clothes or sleep on an unused side of the bed, how does this guy essentially blot out the existence of his wife and coming child almost overnight?
