IT WAS A SLAM DUNK!, that's why.
Evidently, but this will be just one of the things that Geragos uses as a reason for an appeal. Just watch.
IT WAS A SLAM DUNK!, that's why.
Believe it or not, I've seen 'em come back in twenty minutes. Just enough time to pick a chair and elect a foreman, then all look at each other and say, "Uh-huh."
I've never served on a jury (never voir dired, never got out of the jury assembly room), but my husband is a popular juror. He's served on six or seven juries in the Atlanta metro area - usually elected foreman. He had one criminal trial where they did exactly that - chose a foreman and spent five minutes figuring out how to fill in the verdict form. Of course the guy was incredibly guilty - robbed a convenience store, tried to run over a policeman in the parking lot, high speed chase, wrecked the car, found unconscious in the driver's seat with the money in a bag beside him. It's like "Why did you bother?" Probably to stay out on bail.
